On 1st October, the Charity Committee were pleased to host the annual Charity Football Match and Family Fun Day. Where the DeepStore and Compass Minerals football teams came together at Barton Stadium in Winsford, to compete for the Glenn Carter Memorial Trophy.
The annual Glenn Carter Memorial football match is in memory of Glenn Carter, who was a member of the Engineering Department for 34 years and who sadly lost his battle with cancer. To celebrate his memory, employees established the Glenn Carter Memorial Trophy event to raise money for local charities.

The Charity Committee provided other activities, such as a cake stall, tombola and bouncy castles, all with the aim to raise much needed funds for the committee, so they can continue donations to good causes in the coming year.

The Deepstore team came through victorious, with a score of 5-2! Well done to both teams for taking part and a special mention to Jamie Bostock, goalkeeper for Compass Minerals, who was recognised as “man of the match”. And to Mark Goodwin, who won the “Minute To Win It” draw.

The event raised a total of £800, an incredible amount that the committee is incredibly grateful for. Thank you to all employees who contributed and to the Company for their financial support that allowed the event to happen.
