We’re celebrating our Apprentices this National Apprenticeship Week (9th to 14th February).
Congratulations to Dave, Jess, Rubin and Jimmy on the passing of their Apprentice End Point Assessment.
After four years of study Dave, Jess, Rubin and Jimmy have completed their formal college training and passed their End Point Assessment. The photo was taken after they were informed of their results and had carried out their final interview with Karen, their college assessor.

Now in the final period of their development, they will work on shifts until they are deemed competent to be authorised in their respective field. It is envisaged that they will all work towards becoming dual skilled Technicians utilising all their skills and knowledge gained so far.
“The fourth-year apprentices have demonstrated excellent progress and commitment particularly over the last six months whilst working into the shift rota. They have shown strong technical aptitude and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills. Their involvement in recent face line projects, including JCM4 chassis repairs, NW10 conveyor retreat & rebuild have been highly valuable and most appreciated.
They contribute effectively into the shift pattern covering the mining operations. Their willingness to collaborate and take initiative has been commendable, and they consistently display a positive approach to problem-solving.” Dan Jones, Mechanical Engineer, Faceline.
“Throughout their apprenticeship they have shown great hard work, dedication, and the ability to apply their knowledge in practical situations. Each of them has the potential to grow into skilled, versatile technicians and they are ready to take on the challenges ahead.” Jay Whinnett, Electrical Team Leader.
