charity football

On 9th October, we saw the Charity Football Fun Day return, where the DeepStore and Salt football teams again came together at Barton Stadium in Winsford to compete for the Glenn Carter Memorial Trophy.

The annual Glenn Carter Memorial football match is in memory of Glenn Carter, who was a member of the Engineering Department for 34 years and sadly lost his battle with cancer. To celebrate his memory, employees established the Glenn Carter Memorial Trophy event to raise money for local charities.

The Charity Committee arranged the Charity Football match with support from the Company and provided other activities, such as a cake stall, tombola, and bouncy castles, raising an overall total of £1,200, an incredible amount that the committee is incredibly grateful for.

The Deepstore team came through victorious, retaining the trophy for a second year.  Well done to both teams. A commendable effort from everyone involved.
